Innovative TinyStudio-Lab

For the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences (Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering, and Geomatics), we have developed a groundbreaking test building: the TinyStudio-Lab. This real-world laboratory combines research and teaching, providing an ideal platform for experimental studies on facades and building technology.

The TinyStudio-Lab stands out with its unique combination of a fixed load-bearing structure, which forms the enclosing building shell consisting of the floor, walls, and roof, and flexible, interchangeable façade and building technology elements. State-of-the-art measurement technology enables the recording and analysis of various operating conditions—perfect for hands-on studies and innovative research.

More than just a laboratory:

  • For students: A space to apply theoretical knowledge in practice and develop forward-thinking solutions.
  • For researchers: A full-scale real-world lab to implement projects for sustainable planning, construction, and operation.
